Red face WTF vert top acts WERID!!

well ive search here on the forum alot about what im about to ask about so please do say search!... im very very confused about something on my 90 vert. it all started with my swtich that ive been having problems with for awhile now, ive taken the switch apart and all & kkinda fixed it except for the swtich kinda sticks, also that it works backwards ( as in up means down & down means up) but i can deal with that .. anyways this is what the problem is..

last night i went to put up my top befor going to bed, and well when i went to work the switch like normal it started beeeping (like it should be) then just stopped without moving the top up any... then i notcied that the beeeping stoped all together, like i popped a fuz or something, so i checked the fuezs, that wasnt the problem, tryed cranking the car to see if the top will go up that way.. well didnt work either.. tryed useing a wire like i had to before to get it up ( kinda like hotwiring the switch to work) that didnt work ... well here i am thinking well i have no BEEEEPING at all what is the problem? i couldnt find the service screwes at all...
now im just so confused, cause this morning i went outside and hoped that it didnt ran.. and then tryed to put the top, and well its worked like new WTF ???

When you got out of car did you maybe hit the emergency brank handle. My top will not work unless the brake handle is up and emergency brake on.

it sounds like the cpu under the drivers side kick panel is bad....i had to replace mine.

if you get under the dash. take the plastic panel off next to the dead pedal and there is a black box there that controls part of the top functions. you might have to replace that or check the plugs and make sure they are connected all the way. specifically the top one.
