Where are all the S5 Turbo II at??? they all just disappeared, I've been looking and not a singe one for sale.
What are S5 T2 going for now a days? I used to own a 1989 T2 with 50K miles back in the day and sold it for $3,000 lol

I dunno where they went to..But now a days when I search the Want ads,etc I am finding that the price of a S5 TII, a TII swapped or S4 TII is getting ridiculous.
No way in hell I am spending 6-10K for a 30 year old car!

These cars have moved past the bottom of the depreciation curve. While there still may be some deals to had, those will be fewer and farther between. I'm sure it will eventually plateau again, but the days of cheap FCs in good shape are ending.

As far as S5 TIIs go, it's simply a matter of numbers. They didn't have the same production the S4s did, so it's a battle of attrition.

In the last few months I have seen very few s5 T2 7s for sale. Less than 5 I'm pretty sure. I ended up getting a S4 T2 with a S5T2 swap in it.

They are getting hard to find and prices are going up. I picked up a good one in May, but had to go almost 1000 miles away to get it. Mostly beat up S4's in Florida.

How about 3200 for a car in pieces. Found this beauty on Craigslist the other day.

Agreed. They are getting rarer. I picked up my S5 T2 about 4 months ago for $4500. 90k original miles. Non molested. Got lucky. Keep looking! Their out there!

This brings up an interesting point. My suggestion to folks looking for an RX-7 is to have a reasonable budget. This would include adding the price of travel and shipping to your budget and find one local for that price. The other option is to wait and looking everywhere till one pops up. Be ready to look at a lot of junk. And when you find the one jump at it.

Dave, we are sometimes our own worst enemies. Prices for RX-7's in very good to excellent condition will go up just like any other cars you see, to varying degrees.

Many are ok paying $20-30k for a vintage Mercedes, Ford, Chevy, Jag, etc. Sure, our cars are not a Pagoda, but the fact that there are less and less really good 2nd. gens. will cause the price to go up.

Exactly.

We got used to seeing so many RX-7's in terrible condition (which mostly have been crushed by now) for cheap, we started undervaluing all of them (even the good ones).

You will see what these cars will go for in 10 years lol.

I have an 89 I got over 2 years ago for 4200. I got lucky considering the motor has around 7k on a large streetported motor and some other goodies. It's also sat for over 1.5 years on jackstands waiting on my lazy *** to swap out the interior that I got for it and to fix all the little bullshit under the hood (I also had a kid and I go to school and work too).

I thought of selling it, but seeing how hard they are to find now, I refuse to do it.

I recently just picked up an S4 TII for just over 5k. But, during my search I found a red S5 TII with a Jspec in Norcal for 4k. BUT it had 200k+ miles on the chassis.

Even NAs are almost twice the price of what they were 10 years ago.

Well after 2 years of working on a bare shell I got my car on the road.
I had my share of Turbo engines and went V8..(mind you I should have stayed in Taco Land)

Ironic though because I forgot a lot of V8 and Piston info since I went Rotary about 11 years ago...so it's like "How do you time this thing","what's a carburetor"..head gasket?..?

Forget the V8, I couldn't even remember how to get a 125cc scooter to run after going full dorito master years back.
