WTF?? It revved up to 3500 RPMs at idle!
WTF MAN?!?
Boosted on the freeway, ran fine! stopped at a buddys house, revved to 3500 and held there. What the hell is the friggin problem?? BAC maybe? I noticed one of the BAC wires was mildly fucked up. Could that be it?

Your throttle plates may be open more than they should be. The reason Ted asked that was because some people tend to acidentally screw up the idle when they do the TB mod. No biggie, just a few screws to turn. Each set of butterflies has a stop screw. That might be a good place to check. It would also be a good idea to take the TB off to get a better look at it.

Make sure and check mass air meter as well, this will cause eratic idle... If idle screw has been tampered with you may want to play with it to get idle back down.

What series Jspec did you get. My S4 jspec had a special vaccum system at the TB that the Aspec didnt have. Pretty much works under vaccum so if you release quickly the throttle it closes the plates at a constant rate .
There much more other things that can be wrong with your motor. Like stated above. But thats just some info I have.

I got a series 4 jspec. so far the compression test nmbers were up in the 110's on both rotors. I'm thinking that it has something to do with the TPS and/or the BAC.
just my $0.02. could be bac bypassing extra air when it shouldn't causing the engine speed to increase without giving it throttle. try running it without the bac plugged up. it won't really affect anything with it disconnected except the idle when you're using accessories like power steering or a/c. if it still does it with the bac unplugged the thing could have fucked up and be stuck wide open, so then you could just remove it and use a block off plate to fix it. or if you don't have a block off plate i have a s5 jspec bac i could sell you for a reasonable feem, and i know it works well.
