WTF? Oil pressure gauge problems

well, Ive installed an Autometer Sportcomp Mechanical gauge. the normal one reads fine but i wanted somthing more reliable...

well, acording to the Stock one, im perfect for pressure... 30 at idle and 71 or better at 2k or more... According to the Autometer gauge im at 15-16psi at idle and no more than about 65 psi at past 3k or more...

what should i beleve? did i install it correctly? theres aparently air in the line, would that cause a lower reading?
and most importantly, which is correct?

btw, this is a stock S4 N/A

I am also interested in getting an after market oil pressure gauge. I fried mines when i was doing my tranny swap. Didnt ground out the starter properly to the engine and the when i started the ground it grounded itself thru my SS clutch line which resulted in my gauge getting messed up.

DO you have pictures of the gauge and how you connected them and to what, i am very interested. Thanks

I would trust the aftermarket on. The stock gauges can be pretty unreliable.
