Ok I was just moving my car to do an oil change and replace a coolant hose that started to leak yesterday afternoon. I go outside and start her up she is just fine then the engine dies. I go to restart her but nothing not even a click from the starter WTF. Then I figured that it was the battery so I jump it with my other car and she starts up fine and idles great. OK two or three things freaked me out I tried to start it about 4-5 times before jumping it an a couple of times I turned the key and I get this alarm buzer thing and the tach goes to a thousand RPM WTF!!!! all the time the engine is not turning at all. and even when I get her started the alarm thing goes off and does not stop what could that be. Could it be the coolant hose that is fudged up or what I would leak a lil coolant if the car reved passed about 3.5k rpm so I drove the car home easy so as not to loose all the coolant.I am going to take the one from my GXL parts car for now until I get a new one. What the hell could have caused all of that.???????

Are you still having problems? Does it happen every time you start it now?

 

check all your wiring to see if u disconnected something.

 

I was just going to start it again and nothing I think it is iether the battery or the alt. Nothing has been disconnected I am going to jump it again to check if the buzzer still goe off I added as much antd-freeze as would fit in the thing and cut the part of the hose off that was leaking it had a small whole in it.

 

OK update no more cooliant leak leak no more alarm thingie loose batt terminal was the culprit. Now on to my oil change. Thanks for the tips srew you guys "I'm going home"
