Rotories have no torque. You also have a LSD. What rpm are you revving to before attempting the burnout? With a N/A youre pretty much gonna have to rev to like 6k and dump the clutch, and hold the brake. Dont mash the brake hard, just enough to stop you from moving. Still, with decent tires on my car it wants to die sometimes when I try and do a burnout. I guess good GXL brakes with a LSD and sticky tires, with a low torque engine just isnt gonna do it.

Wow, I feel lucky that I can rev to 4500 and dump, and hold a solid burn.

I think its pretty much the LSD, in my daily driver (95 Escort LX, 88HP) I can roast the tires, well one tire because there is no LSD. In my Rx-7 it want to die out.

just remove the rear calipers for the burnout, and then put them back on when your done. oh yeah, also jam a Big piece of metal in the calipers so the pistons don't shoot out, if you choose to do this. or you could chalk the front tires. maybe put down a little water to get the tires spinning.

then your car must have low compression. Or a shitty clurch. I can put down a good 3 second squeel by dumping at 3500 and laying on the gas.

Just get a set of line locks. They are like 80 bucks for a pair. Put them on the front brake lines. Press pedal, flick switch, let go of pedal and roast the tires. You dont do any damage to the brakes that way and can spin em harder.

Holding the brake while in gear and roasting the tires. I think I am going to invest in a set of line locks, just to not damage my rear brake components. Well worth $80.
