WTF J-port ?!?

okay, so i was just watchin youtube because im bored and saw a video of a "jport" engine idling like its bridge ported. is that the ausie/nz way of saying bridge porting?

nah mate, we know all about bridgys!! j-port is kinda like a bridgeport, and then some. i believe it extends past the face and into water seal, hence lifespan can be significantly reduced!! would be fun while it lasted,but!!

Yea what he said. Its a larger port than a full bridge normally used for NA drag racing but the motor doesn't last long. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

A j-port:



Engine life is measured in hours. Failure is generally due to water leaking into the port. These ports were made to get around anti-PP rules in some racing classes.

Doesn't the j-bridge/monster cut into the rotor housing as well?

yes...a j-port is essentially a large bridgeport that cuts through the water seal and requires the rotor housing to be cut as well to profile the new intake runner.
