Wtf hey i have a problem.... with my clutch

hey i have a problem.... with my clutch.... and i do'nt know what's going on (kinda new to cars in general.... lol)

anyways on to the problem. every now and then i push in the clutch on my '90 Vert and it doesn't kick itself back out like it's supposed to.... it sticks a little, like about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way out it just slows down and feels limp. but then i can push it in and it'll come back out like it should.

what in the hell is going on with my car?? somebody help me, please :-(

appreciate it

What is the level and condition is the clutch master cylinder? Also the throwout bearing might be the culprit.

im not positive but i think the clutch is hydrolic maybe ur hydrolic pressure isnt what it should be. also i have a clutch question. when my car is idling and the clutch is out it it makes a hissing noise and is kinda load. when i tap the clutch alil bit it goes away and makes no noise. my dad sais it coule be the throwout bearings or the hydrolic line is bleeding.

The clutch is hydraulic.

well how do i check this sort of stuff?? i really have no idea what i'm doing.... but i know my car has been heavily modified (taken from automatic convertible, to 5spd complete Turbo II swap, then engine blown, and N/A engine and harness put back in)

it still has Apex'i intake, RB headers, G'reddy Pre-Silencer, then 2.5" pipe back to single PowerTech muffler

but that has nothing to do with my clutch.... or does it?? i'm really not sure.... just trying to learn a little about my car (want to be able to work on it myself)

no, I'd check the clutch master cylender every day for a week, it may be leaking fluid. or the clutch may also easily be worn out.

None of that has anything to do with your clutch.

i didn't think so....

anyways how do i find out wtf is wrong with my clutch??

it's just annoying sometimes, makes it drive like **** when it does that (feels so weird letting the clutch out like that every now and then b/c i'm not expecting it, that it's just a terrible jerky shift)

not to hijack the thread, but i've recently noticed mine doing something similar. it only does it when i'm really in the gas, and it's like the clutch doesn't come all the way back up. I checked today and the clutch fluid is just above the minimum line (i just filled it not 2 weeks ago) and i can't see a leak for the life of me. I'm gonna get under the car this weekend and see if i can find a leak at the slave cylinder
