Wtf did i just find in my bumper?

Um .. so yea I was about to take my bumper off to install the fmic and this caught my eye .. so i pulled it out from underneath the passenger light.

Im pretty sure its the charcoal canister but wtf is it doing just hanging out in the bumper shell just laying around there?

Also is it important at all to have hooked up ?

when the air pump air is bypassed (above 3800 RPM or in 5th gear) from the cat, it is shot out that muffler instead.

So the muffler makes the car quieter at above 3800 or when in 5th gear, so that you do not have air pump noise then.

I had a possum living in my front bumper. You can imagine the surprised look on my face when I grabbed a hold of that strange "pink wire" that I didn't recall ever seeing on any FC before.

Luckily I'm used to seeing them just not in my car. I reached in and it moved, I jumped back and realized what it was. He had built a nest so I had to persuade him to get out of there (fortunately the front bumper was off) and he took up residence in my brake duct area. Finally with the car running I got him out and he hasn't come back. Good thing too. My bulldog caught wind of the little guy and he became very interested in this new "toy."

omfg that is so funny..... I have possums in my yard at night, and sometimes i walk outside to get a surprise. I can't imagine grabbing one by the tail. I agree, I would have punished my underwear...
