used parts, however, are a lot more abundant here in BFE PA for the Olds...
I believe you can restore cracked plastic & fiberglass. I have to teach myself to do this when I'm further along with all my rotary restore projects.
Here's what I'm hoping to "learn to restore" to avoid paying $$$ for new:
- Chipped exterior plastic windshield molding (also re-rubberize them)
- Cracked Convertible side pillar panels (behind door sill scrap guards)
- Rusty/cracked side window molding (the ones right below the power windows) (re-ruberize them too)
- Mounts for the loose plastic instrument cluster surround
- Defrost vents (yeah I just replace them too)
- Logicon surround (aka clock)
- rear convertible panels behind the seats
- convertible trunk panels (one cracks right below the lock)
