Wrong injectors

Wanted to know what would happen if you put injectors from a 89 N/A into an 87 TII. I think i read that there impedence is different. Would they even work or could this cause flooding. Im hoping that i didnt get these switched around during my swap but im not sure and im just checking all the bases.

Why would you even consider putting smaller NA injectors into a turbo? That's just silly.

im sure he meant by accident. I thought the 89-92 had an oval stlye seat and wouldn't actually fit in the seat of the fuel rail, try a search i read it on here not to long ago. also what color are they?

The plugs wouldn't fit, but any top load injector would fit. The injector is not oval. Only the plug on the 89+ models.

Ok so the plugs are different, thats good. Just for pure curiosity, what would happen if this were the case. By the way everything is fine now i did the fuel pump rewire and that seems to have fixed the problem.

impedence is only different on the pre-87.5 models. The 87.5 and later all are high impedence.

Running the wrong impedence without a resistor pack would probably smoke the ECU outputs.

But again, you couldn't plug in a 89+ injector without changin the plugs.
