There are injector air bleed lines as well as OMP injector lines. The OMP lines have one coming from each oil injector and then going to the vac spider which has a larger hose at the other end that goes to the back of the UIM.

My question as still not been answered. Can we get someone in here with some experience?
Look at the secondary injector. Move your eyes down about an inch and a half. There are nipples for each secondary injector which point inward towards the center of the motor. I have once heard that they are to help the fuel from the secondary injectors atomize using vacuum or boost.
Do these get capped or do I run a line somewhere?

I can snap some pix of the actual rat's nest to see how much clutter is eliminated when I get home. Makes everything alot cleaner and much simpler to fix/check things when you pull the UIM. No ill effects. Just let crap to check when someting goes wrong.

I dont have an after shot but just mentaly remove the rats nest and add 2 fuel lines going directly to the fuel rails and thats pretty much it. Some rerouting of a few vac hoses and some capping. Piece of cake.
Should note that some of the turbos guys may have to cut part of the rats nest off. The oil feed line for the turbo is welded to the rats nest for some cars but others they are not. You also get to ditch the 2 vac lines going to the stock TID.

These are from a while back. Been running without a rat's nest for over half a year now no problems. What pic did you want? Like an engine bay pic with everything back together? You cant really notice if one has removed the rat's nest unless you notice the solenoid rack is gone and all the plugs are just hanging.
Removing the rat's nest is more for simplicity reasons. Everytime you take off your UIM you will be glad you ditched the rat's nest. Also less things to check when something goes wrong.

question concerning removed rats nest while keeping the BAC......i removed the air supply solenoid (***) that connects to the BAC and to the TMIC....what do i do with these left over openings?...the opening on teh BAC points slanted upwards towards the back of the car while the TMIC opening points towards the passanger side...as of right now i have attached a hose to both openings but the car bogs when i try to give it throttle under 2k rpm....should they be capped off??

I just left all the solenoid plugs hanging on the side. The harness is pretty short so they dont really go anywhere. If anything you should just tape off the connectors but I was too lazy to do this but without any ill effects.

i redid the engine harness and removed the wires going to the aws and the asv so i dont have the electrical plugs on it anymore...im asking about the what do u do with the left open air supply openings....i've seen people put a vac cap on the bac fitting..but that was with the BAC also removed...im keeping mine so what should i do?

Whoops didnt see your post on the 2nd page. Not sure what you mean by the ***. Can you snap a pic? I think it might be an s4 only thing. The BAC only gets its air supply from the IC piping so I'm kinda lost at what you're asking.

the air supply solenoid...it goes from right next to the UIM/bac area to the ***/asv then goes to the IC....the air fitting itself isnt on the BAC but its right next to the BAC casted on the UIM

Been running with a *rats nest* for over five years with no problems. I just had to write that. I just could not resist. I get soooooo tired of people blaming the *RATS NEST* for their problems. YES, this is a DIG at all, each and every person who ever removed the *rats nest*.
A REAL rats nest is the consoles on a jet fighter. Ask JRAT.
