write-up of boost gauge install?

I'm looking for a write-up for how to install a boost gauge. Most importantly I am looking for some pics of some installed and also need to know where the fuel pressure regulator is along with where to connect the hose to the intake manifold.

Haven't we already discussed this?
The instructions that come with the boost gauge should cover most of what you need. You don't need to hook it into the FPR vac line, there are plenty of other lines that are alot easier to get to. Most people just use the pressure sensor or BOV vac lines.

Well I am just looking for a write-up of how someone else installed their boost gauge. If there isn't one then I think someone should make one.

There is a jpg attached of a Vacu-Tite plastic barbed tee. Just go to your vac hose b/t the intake manifold and the boost sensor located just infront of your r/h strut tower. Cut it five or six inches from the intake and put both halves on the tee, then shove the hose from the boost gauge into the third nipple on the tee. I found that the Autometer hose would press inside the tee just snug enough to not having to do anything else, like glue etc. The fuel pressure regulator is on the aft side of the engine on the passengers side, and while I can remove and reinstall the hose, its uncomfortable at best to do it like that.

Well I installed my 50mm VDO boost gauge in the instrument cluster in front of the stock boost gauge. I ran the vac line through the wiring loom hole in the corner of the engine bay and tee'd into the pressure sensor vac line with a small plastic vac tee bought from an auto parts store. I fed the light from the cigarette lighter illumination. That's it.

I'm in the process of installing an autometer boost gauge. 1st thing I did was check it out the instructions and the engine bay. 2nd, brought 2 spools of wire and wire splicers(stick 2 wires in and squeeze-connects wires and snaps shut) from Radio Shack, and if you go to the vacuum tubing section of your local car shop you'll find L tubing and straight tubing which will fit over the capped nipple on your intake manifold(S5), it's your choice which you choice. Connect power to the lights on your lighter or your glove box(1 for each gauge if any more). route pressure tube through the firewall and attatch to the intake using the vacuum tubing and tie straps. I'll let you know how it goes for me tomorrow. Good Luck.
