WP Housing Removal, PITA!!!

Okay I'l get right to the point. How the hell do I remove the drive pulleys!? I took off the 4 10mm bolts. Do I need to remove the 19mm in the middle to remove the main drive pulleys? I can't remove the WP pulley w/o removing the main drive pulleys right? This is a bitch, pz explain or send me a link. The Haynes manual isn't very helpful on this. Thanks in advance.

There are four 10mm bolts on the main pulley, remove em and smack it with a hammer. They are probably just seized together. Then undo all the nuts/bolts holding the wp/housing on and pull it off..

You don't have to remove the main pully to remove the water pump housing....just loosen the alternator braket and take the belts off....

Opps I forgot not everyone has removed all the acceries like me, ya do what they said

DO NOT TOUCH THE BIG 19MM NUT!!

what you need to do is just beat on the pulleys a little bit..they should fall off..they're just probably seized

IF, and I mean IF, for the life of you the pulleys will not come off, you can pull out the studs. I had to do this, which RUINS the studs. Once the studs are out you can pull the housing. When I put it back together I went to the mazda dealer and found some LONG bolts and cut them to the size of the studs It seemed to work fine but studs can take more twisting forces rather than twisting off the top of the bolt.
