Would you pay 300 bucks for an S5 TII?

Cause Im going to. And it runs, and drives, is fairly straight, decent red paint, FCD, DP, MP. CB. boosts strong to .9, and comes with a buch of extra parts. He says its "side ported" but it sounds stock so Im pretty sure the guy is a dumbass. But then he is selling it for 300. He says hes got a diff from a 20b cosmo for it... Ive never heard of that. Some aftermarket front bumber, unknown brand, a tranny, and two doors and fenders. Ill post pics when I get it. Oh ya, its a 91, I think its a GTX, not sure though.

sounds fishy to me, get it checked out at a dealer before you buy it maybe? If you get shafted, then it may only be 300 bucks, but youre still out 300 bucks.

I was going to threaten bodily harm onto you if you did not buy this car until I read you're in Japan.

I guess they are a dime a dozen there :P

I dunno about over there, but in the US you can sell just the aftermarket stuff for 300, probably.

Side port is the Japanese term for a street port (although it can refer to race ports, as long as they aren't bridge or periport).

IIRC the 500-dollar FC they used to build up the RE Amemiya time trial car in that one video was a total POS (body needed a lot of straightening and a serious engine overhaul).

I'd be weary... typical FC prices in Japan aren't THAT reasonable.

300...how could you lose.....if it blows up you can easily find 300 bucks worth of parts to sell on e-bay....dibs on the body trim!!
but if you're in japan,i hear they have something called "sha-ken" i think? you may want to look into that....or send it to florida....we dont worry about emmisions here!

Well, the situation is that the guy is PSC'ing (changing bases) and you HAVE to have your record clear about a week before you actually leave, so the guy has no choice but to sell it. And no one has wanted it, cause it does need some work. He hit something in the front, and has some messed up front susp. components. It still drives, jsut doesnt track straight. needs tires, the windshieldwipers are not there. The motor is there, just not the linkage and mounts and crap. Drivers side mirror is kinda zip tied in place. And the synchros are kinda fucked, but hes got another tranny for it. Its a little bit of a beater project car, which is fine with me. I kinda want something that I dont have to worry about getting a little messed up. Im sick of being a crazy protective freak over my FD, and Ive got a lot of money tied up in it. So, in with the cheap as hell FC, and time to make my money back on the FD. Bottom line, he HAS to have it sold by friday, or hes gonna be ordered to de-register it and junk (crush) it. So, Tanjo to the rescue. And your all right, it could very well blow up next week. But, if thats the case, Ill make plenty of money parting it out to all you JDM hungry biatches lol
