Would u trade ur FC for a FD?

im just curious, i dont mean trade as in even trade but rather would u prefer having an FD considering that their engines dont last as long and parts cost more for them? for the price of an FD i would stay with an FC TII what would u guys do?

f no. i mean not only for reliability, but the fc has a kind of diamond in the rough look, its like a caged beast, its just subtle enough to look humble, but invariably powerful. the fc looks too much like a car thats trying to be seen, the fc is one that if your lucky enough, you might just catch a glimpse.
dont get me wrong, id wouldnt mind having both, but id take my non turbo fc over any fd any day, theyre just too damn perfect

I'd have the best of both worlds, meaning I would have to own both.

Unless you've driven or at least taken a ride in an FD, you just don't understand how well they handle and what they are capable of.

see the way i feel is u can buy a good runing TII for around 3K FD's are average 12-13K i can take that extra 10K put in work to the FC and humiliate an FD performance wise and still look good doing it. but lets not let this turn into an arguement becuz this is purely opinion.

*shrugs* I like my FC just because of its body style, and cheap insurance. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't mind a FD...
To me the FB and FC are more charismatic than the FD, although the FD looks smoother. The FB just looks like an old race car, and the FC is the epitome of an 80 compact sport car... the cars that I was growing up wanting.

I'd take an FD and throw in a 13B N/a engine. Hah!

I know I wouldn't. One, more insurance I'd have to pay, and it would cause way too much attention in my neighborhood.

I think it really depends on what you grew up seeing and/or wanting.

When I was in hs, FD/Supra/3000GT were the cars to have. Although FD's production stopped right before I started hs, it remained one of those cars to have.

Older folks might enjoy FC or FB more as that's what they saw growing up and wanting to have, but couldn't.

Just to make my point, I just recently bought a FD over 350Z. And no, cost wasn't a issue. 350Z's nice, but that would've been just a status symbol, contrast to an FD and its sentimental values to me from my adolesence.

So would I trade FD for RX8? Not in a million years. I'm sure same goes for a lot of FC owners as well.

Yeah, I think they're cool cars, but I wouldn't trade my FC for one.

The FC is roomier, a little less attention grabbing (a benefit the way I look at it), and can be competitive with FD's performance-wise with some mods.

I do envy their suspensions though :-)

i have as much money into my FC as it would take to buy an FD and then i would have to do maintenance and that would be a bone stock model. plus i prefer the styling of the FC over the FD anyways.

my answer: no

not unless it was a modded FD in which case i would sell it and build another FC to my liking.
