would the tps cause this

my car will not run unless i have the pressure sensor unplugged also it wont hold an idle at 750 it just idles like it wants to stall is my tps off by that much
also my car is an 88 s4 n/a

unplug the TPS and check the resistance with a multimeter.
it should give you a constant reading at any spot it is held.
if it jumps around ( goes up or down slightly, even at full closed ) its shot.
do a search and set your tps. to check it out.
