would swapping out the CPU.. odd quesiton
odd question for all...
my old CPU shorted out and my dome lights did not come on because of it.. i swapped another CPU from a 89 auto n/a fc. that was good; now the dome lights work but the car only cranks. would there be any way im locked out because of the CPU switch and the THEFT system engaging, not reconizing the somewhat new CPU ??

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
Dome lights are not controlled by the CPU, they are directly wired from the door switches to the dome lights.
The only thing that the CPU uses the door trigger signal for is the door open/key in the ignition beep and the alarm door trigger.
