Question Would FD wheels fit in FC?

I heard that the FD's wheels and tires will fit into the rear of FD, but some told me you need to get spacer for the front. If that is true, what is the ideal tire size of the spacers? What is the best tire size for this situation?

thanks...

From the FAQ:

Will 3rd Gen RX-7 (FD) wheels fit on my 2nd Gen RX-7?
If you have 5 lug hubs and use spacers. Typically you need spacers around 25mm (1"), depending on tires
