Question Would anyone be interested in this Headlight Scoop?

Okay going to start making parts for the FC on my spare time. This would be the first thing i offer and was wondering if anyone would be interested in it. I will start making these in fiberglass and probally offer them in Carbon Fiber eventually. Don't have a set price yet but will definatly be under $100 for sure.

A NACA-type duct would be more aerodynamically effective, right?

id be interested in a carbon fiber one, as long as you made a carbon fiber one for the driver side without the scoop, like off FC3S.org used to make.
Also does it fit without any body modifications? Is it just "bolt in"?

I would get it if there was a set ( Right one w/ vent ...Left one w/ or w/o vent in same material) and if its a direct bolt on ( no cutting or fiberglass work or anything like that)

BTW : it look pretty nice

the duct part bolts in, but i read you gotta cut away a little bit of metal in the headlight housing to make the air goto your filter

Looks good

Looks like a good solid product that will deliver with little or no question. Our responce is going to influence if you even undertake this project or not so in short if you built it we will come. (As stated before any for a left...and right side of the car design?)

Yes, if you want air in any quantity to get there. And don't forget to remove the rubber gasket from the leading edge of the hood behind it as well, otherwise no flow. A box sealed to the inside of the hood, surrounding the air filter, would keep any engine bay heat out of the intake, and as we all know, cool air is denser.

Before I am sold, I Need to know what, if any, custom cutting has to be done before installing the lens cover.

Your work looks great though, keep it up

Looks clean dude... I made my own out of a stock cover as well. I'd love to make a mold and di it up n carbon, but haven't figured out how to set the tabs in for the mounting screws that hold the cover in place yet

Ok for everone else's question, i got tiredof relying quotes.

Yes it is a direct fit, no mods, just swap with the stock one. YOu do have to remove the rubber gasket on the hood to flow air into it.

I will have these ready to sell in about a week. Probally a little longer on the Carbon fiber and the driver side scoop ones.

They will also come sanded and primered ready to paint.

Any other questions post them and i will reply.
