The WORST Exhaust

I posted this weekend about the exhaust that was on the 7 when I had picked it up last year. As you can see in the picture, the previous owner had a shop build a custom exhaust—with catalytic converter—all welded in one piece to a collected dual. I didn't bother looking to see what brands. Anyway, if you look at the picture I've attached, the shop used 1.5" pipes and literally stuffed it up into the remainder of the stock pipe from the manifold! I can't wait to see the difference in power when I get this thing finished. I have the Bonez race pipe sitting in the garage waiting for me to decide on a catback system.

I just ordered the "new" Corksport single exhaust. I'll post pics when I get it all in.

The green grass in that picture almost made me cry, we're still covered in snow up hear. Oh and the exhuast was pretty bad. I can't believe some one would have charged for that type of work.

Yes, that's the HPI Pro 2 box, sitting on St. Augustine grass. I haven't raced the r/c car in a year…not since I got the 7 and started the restoration project. When I get the 7 done I'll find myself a 2nd Gen shell for the HPI and paint it to match the real thing.

Good luck finding a 2nd gen rx7 shell for the HPI....unless you have $40 to spend. I'll be going with the new RX7 Veilside body, once the weather goes back to normal
