World total of FC's in each year produced

does anyone know the total production of FC's in every year? Not just the american totals, but the total production for the whole world.

when i was in some book shop or somethin i saw a total of 2ng gens i think it was somethin along the lines of 118 thousand

That sounds like a north american total, I wounder how many were sold in Japan?
