The world seems against the FC
Why is that almost all of the well known quialty manufacterures of atfermarket products ignored the FC? I can find any thing i could dream of after 1993 but ill be damned if i can find a good 6 or 8 piston caliper upgrade. H and R only makes coilovers for the mazda 323 (wtf!). It seems like the only place to find any info is the tech forums but i dont like ordering things from japan. I have a bad enough time ordering chinese food. Seeing that i am stupidlly bored between 7am and 10am at school, i think ill make a list of companies that make things for the FC in a nice organized list w/ links so there are no more retards like me posting crap like this.
If an admin moves / deletes for "not being on topic" or whatnot sorry. It was 2nd gen specfic.

Former Moderator. RIP Icemark.
100 lbs extra is hardly worth upgrading the 4 piston brakes past. They are good for 3500.
If you are burning out brakes perhaps you need to re-learn your braking technique.
and plenty of people build parts for the 12+ year old car that the FC is. You just need to look instead of posting lame lounge threads like this one in the 2nd gen Technical section.

Big calipers are rice if you never bothered to try to optimize the current setup and are upgrading for looks (though football sized calipers do look good...)
Try purging the old fluid and adding new fluid, replacing all rubber with stainless braided hose, new discs and high performance brake pads... and then, only then if you use up what you have on track days, upgrade

if you don't have TII/vert brake setup front and rear, do yourself a favour and get some new rotors and rebuilt calipers for a TII/vert. slap on some Hawk race pads and do a tune up of the braking system (fluid, etc.) and i am sure that should be more than enough for autocross...
if not, then there is something else wrong...

You don't find many aftermarket products for us compared to FD's because lets face it. The majority of us pay $1500-4000 for our FC's and most of us are under 25. It doesn't make sense for a company to spend lots of money for R&D and not sell anything.
Most FC owners are cheapasses. Don't get me wrong, I'm a cheap FC owner too.

What the?
There are plenty... MANY companies that make products for the FC. The biggest problem is alot of teenagers that own FCs often haven't escaped the thought that the world is as big as their hometown.
Oh that and said younguns might have a $50/mo allowance

The fc is ignored by the more 'ricer' tuned manufactuers. and thats a good thing. there are plenty of fc parts available for just about anything you need, but alot of research has to be put into it. the fc is a complicated machine to upgrade in my opnion. it is not a car you can just throw upgrades into and leave it be, you really need to know your stuff. when you slap on a bunch of cheap 'rice' parts you usually end up with a car that is not fun to drive ie. too loud. its hard to understand but upgrading cars espically FC's is not as simple as magazines and tv make it out to be.

Honestly after seeing how idiotic people act on this forum, if i were a manufacturer i wouldnt make **** for FC owners either. Anything that someone does to thier car yall flame them, id want to make as many parts for honda owners that actually want to buy **** for thier car. Yall flame anythign and everythign that someone makes for the FC, aka even the new camden supercharger. Half of yall think we shold all be driving the exact same car and if we change something on it we're RICERS. My 2 cents.

Reman calipers
I sale reman calipers 4 piston front for $155 each without cores and $105 with core. The stock 4 pistons are great brakes. We also sale brembo blank rotors for the front and blank rotors for the rear.
The Calipers come with brake pads (semi metalic).
If you are interested give me a call or email me.
All prices do not include shipping.
I got reman calipers on all four corners, SS lines, new pads (came with calipers), brembo blank rotors up front and OEM rotors in the rear. I stop on the dime. SS lines helped a lot and i dont have ABS. You don't need BIG BRAKE SYSTEM unless your are a autocrossing professionally. It's all looks when it comes to having them on the street. They look nice but my Powder Coated red OEM calipers do too.

autocross is not as intensive on brakes as a road course.
why don't you try it out first and see how much braking you actually need...
JDUBrx7, i think you have a point but your delivery of it isn't that great. there are a lot of knowledgable and helpful people on this forum. sometimes it may seem that some of us are arrogant and think what everyone does is wrong, or cheap, or could be done better. in a lot of cases it's actually true. i think the harshness comes from the fact that the RX-7 is a sport car that should not be taken lightly. the thing with civics and what not is that they aren't sport cars from the factory. Mazda made a pure and unique sports car here that should not be disgraced by treating it in the same manner as an economy car (in terms of modifying it).
that said i think a lot of us have wrong first impressions a lot of times are too quick to judge or follow the mantra of bashing anything that seems stupid. it leads to unjustified insults that get blown out of proportion...
i don't know, maybe i shouldn't be posting after i have been drinking a few, but your car is your car. spend time with it and you will know what to do...don't always let others do that for you

Well the FC has a pretty good amount of aftermarket support, at least compaired to most other cars. Try getting parts for an accent or a camry. What pisses me off is the support for FD's as apposed to FC's. There was a carbon fiber hood on ebay for 100.00 yesterday, CF hood for FC, only one place i know that makes it, prepare for 800.00. Body kits for FD, dozens, body kits for FC...3, suck, suck and suck, the RE inyomama kit is the worst. Hmm come to think of it the only major thing is exterior stuff and price differances. I cant for the life of me under stand how your gonna make parts for a $10,000 car cheaper than parts for a $1500 car. I wish they woud make a ton of cheap honda-esk parts for the FC, because sometimes thats all you need to make it work, Your not paying for the quality of the product anymore, your payin for the name.
Definately the one thing you dont have to do on an FC though, is worry about brakes. The 4 piston calipers are more than suficiant for nearly any configuration. Think about the camaro you got the LT-1 out of, what, 2 piston calipers and 12" brakes, and it weighs 1000 lbs more than any FC. Just "freshen" up a four piston setup and you'll be fine.
And for the record i like body kits and big, go to hell wings, It sets cars apart from the rest of dull, robotic crap everyone else drives. MO, those who dont like it can suckle upon thine weiner.
