working on car , how am i doing??????

i decided since i was down on power to start checking things. since i wanted to remove the air pump anyway i started there.
oh this is a 88 na. soon to track only car
i took off the air pump and acv and checked out the port actuators both were stuck closed. i got lucky and both freed up just by removing the actuator and cleaning the shaft. i'm going to make a bloke off plate this week but need to know what do i have to do to the air line and i guess vac line to the twin pipe? i removed the cats and put in straight pipe. i was going to gut them but they were so rusted out that they leaked at almost all the seams so off they came. the car is now loud. sounds better at idle and even idles better but man it can get loud in a hurry. didn't want to **** off the neighbors so i didn't run it long. i put zip ties on the actuators to hold them open. i'm going to install the new pulley on the alternator to run dual belts.
what else do i need to do?
thanks
robert

Robert,

You might as well remove the actuators and wire the ports open for a track car. If you spend any time below 3800 RPM you should be in the next lower gear

So the vac line gets capped, and the air line gets capped.
