Thumbs up Woohoo! First 50 miles! Only 950 left to go!

Alright, I'm a bit estatic that I finally got the damn car running good and actually drove it 50 miles! It's moved a total of 55 miles in the 2 years I've owned it, kind of sad. Anyway, I'm all happy that it starts like a breeze (After finding a massive vac leak at the ACV) Sounds and acts like it's blowing boost past out the IC hoses, which I suppose is ok since I don't want to boost (but the damn thing keeps on crawling and hanging around .1-.3bar. I'm very pleased, the car starts almost instantly every time, idles good and so forth. The bad news is, it's got an exhaust leak, and my fiero fan randomly decides to stop working (overheating maybe?) Oh, and also, no more god damn smoke screen!

Hahaha, I'm on about 75-80 right now. My damn spedo is off from the 3.9 automatic that used to be in it prior, doh! Still smoking a tad in 2nd gear, and damn is it hard to stay out of boost! Gotta figure out what's wrong with my fiero fan.

Just passed 100, and it still smokes upon startup, but nothing too bad. Also, reverse and 2nd gear make for some smoke, but nothing like the james bond smoke screen that'd kill a county I had going on before.

Well, considering my old engine acted as a massive oil pump, and my exhaust probably has about 3 quarts floating in it, I'm not to concerned, especially since it doesn't smoke when it's moving/etc.

Yeah I got a little smoke coming off the turbo when it sits (greasy hands) from the install.

You'll probably burn that oil off eventaully.

We have a similar fuel setup.
What are your S-AFC settings?

Thanks, that's pretty interesting, it says pretty much only 100 miles, at considerably higher RPM's than every else suggets. Anyone got any feedback on that?

I was told to keep it off of boost and under 5k rpm's for about 2k miles. Only have 500 on it so far. Been working on the hood and front end this weekened but they are both done and will bolt the hood back on tonight, then it'll be ready for more driving.

It won't stay under 4000 rpm. The thing is wild.

Im at around 190 miles. And Im going to a friends tonight, so theres another 60 miles.

My motors doing great. But I need to take off my front cover to lower the pressure on my front oil pressure regulator a little, and replace the gasket. Im losing oil around the front cover. And I need new oil cooler lines.

Is everyone breaking in their motor?

I should be starting mine by the end of this week if everything goes as planned...
