wont stay running,,,,

car will start and run for about 5 seconds. then it dies even if you rev the motor. when i bridge the check connector for the fuel system it will say running. if i pull the bridging wire, it dies after just a few seconds. what could cause ths?

replaced vacumn lines fuel hoses, fuelfilter. checked injectors,

this all happened after i changed the clutch. everything was runing fine before. it dosent seem like it should have any effect on anything, but maybe there is a wire or connection somewhere that i missed or that got pulled loose. any thoughts?

This would be AFM related. Either the connector is off your AFM, or you have not put your entire intake system together, OR, you have a REALLY REALLY big intake leak. Check all the hoses, etc from the filter back.

I've already switched the afm from my other rx7 connector is on tight and checked all hoses and connections several times. What else could I be forgetting to check?

Well, not much really. The signal that keeps the fuel pump on is coming from your AFM. If its happening with 2 different AFMs, then youve got a leak somewhere in the intake path. And a big one at that. Check the hoses under the intake runner.
