I have a 90 vert freshly rebluit street ported engine from Marvel Speed (about 4000 miles). Ok it started when I was driving, the tak quit working and the check engine light came on. After parking it and trying to re-crank, it wouldn't start. So I replace the trailing coil pack and ignitor from a parts car I have, and everything work fine for about a day then same problem again, no tak and a check engine light. I tested both coils and they do fire on my parts car, but I'm getting nothing on my vert. Don at Marvel Speed said to check the loop ground directly under the trailing pak, so I did and upgraded it, but still no crank!! Can anyone help me!

 

sounds like a fun project. did you burn out your starter?

 

No it still turns over and almost starts, but it never quite makes it.
