Angry Wont Start! Please help!

I have an 88 S4 NA. Mostly stock. Took off cats and single exhaust with a K&N air filter. I was driving home from work two days ago and the rpms jumped up and down and it felt like it was going to die. It leveled out and then did it again. I dont think I am getting spark and I have replaced the coil for the leading plugs. My leading coil is at 14.1 ohms. My CAS checks out within spec. 115 ohms. The car drove great but now wont start! Its drivin me crazy. Im gettin fuel and air. Oh, and the coil was beeping oddly and at one point was arcing from the coil without the key in the ign. This happened to my original coil and the one I replaced it with which was a used one from my friend with a TII. My MAF has had issues and I soldered the insides back together, but I dont think this is why Im not getting spark. My tach doesnt move while I crank either. Im looked on this website for two days trying to find a problem like mine and cant seem to fine one. Any help is much appreciated!

my friend was having similar probablomes.... check your crank angle sensor with a voltmeter. the haynes gives a pretty good section on this. if all els fails, check your grounds and add some more!

If you soldered your MAF, chances are it's probably fried. Replace that and see what happens.

The MAF would prevent the fuel pump from pumping.

I would do the following to get started:
Check the plug wires with an inductive timing light, to see if you have spark to the plugs.
Test the fuel line coming out of the fuel filter for pressure, to make sure you have fuel to the rail.
Do a quick compression test to make sure you have compression.

I am guessing you don't have spark.
Start working backwards from the engine until you find the faulty component.

I know that my TPS is in spec. The spark plugs and wires are new. The car had a major hesitation and jumped and bucked like crazy, then seemed to be normal. At the next stop light it did it again. I lost all power and then it bucked and died. My buddy in town is trying to find me a MAF sensor. When it first happened I played with the MAF a little and it almost started. But the beeping from the leading coil and the odd spark it had without the key in the ign. led me to believe it was the problem. I checked my grounds, they seem fine. I have my battery on a charger at the moment and checked the starter just for the hell of it. What should the volts be on the CAS? The ohms on the CAS checked out within spec. Thanks for all the help!
