Exclamation Wont start, need help

Ok so i bought a 88 rx7 turbo 2 from my friend for real cheap. its been sitting for a while and it has some problems. Ok first of all the clutch pedal does not have any pressure or resistance. it will either be all the way at the ground and the only way to get it up it to reach and pull it up. it also doesn't seem like there is any power getting to the ignitoin because when you turn the key nothing happens at all. and i dont know if that has something to do with the clutch that i have to get fixed before i can start it or what. but nothing at all happens when u turn the key. it might be just a wireing problem or the starter or whatever but idk.PLEASE HELP.

first of all check your clutch fluid, and if it is low or out add some and bleed out the system. that should be your problem there. with the ignition i would say check the main fuse under the hood after you bleed the clutch if that doesnt work.
thats what i would do.

well, when you say nothing happens when you turn the key, is that no crank, or absolutely nothing (no radio, lights, etc)? If its no crank, it could be wiring, or clutch switch. If absolutely nothing, then probably wiring. Assuming you checked the battery already.

As for the clutch. try what brandon said. sounds like theres no pressure in the system which could be from low fluid level or a leak. could also just be a large amount of air in the system, but if thats the case, most likely cause by low fluid or leak anyway.

they pretty much coved the clutch part, and as for the nothing happening when you turn the key im with jon on that, whats nothing, no lights or just no cranking, if it no lights start right from the battery, grounds and all, if no cranking, hat i always do if im not sure whats going on, is just run a jumper wire to the starter and give it power to see if it cranks, if it does you know where your problem is, if it doesnt, could be locked up or just a starter, go from there

Well, I would ask if you could tell if the clutch is stuck engaged even when you actually pull it up with your hand, but it would be hard to tell if you can't try and start it up. If the fluid is full, you may need to check on your slave cylinder. If I'm not mistaken, when you push the clutch, it pushes a hydrolic that makes the slave cylinder push a piston that moves the clutch plate to engage/disengage the clutch. Without pressure at the pedal, it's more than likely the slave cylinder. Pull it off the tranny, and check out the piston, it may be rusted stuck. If your lucky a simple slave cylinder rebuild kit will be your answer. Else, a new slave cylinder if it's not rebuildable, or a new clutch in your worse case. I been there before.
