Wont Start

so im new in rotory engines but i want to learn

i have a 1991 non turbo rx7 and im stuck, i put in a new fuel pump, new spark plugs, shes not flooding and shes turning over fine. i just cant get her to start.
again im new at these so any and all help would be appreciated. thanks.

Make sure to check things like fuel, compression, and spark. You need those 3 to start. Find out what you do and do not have and get back with us. If you don't know how to look for those use the search feature.

Checking for spark.

To check for fuel the easiest way is to pull out the spark plugs after cranking the car...do they have gas on them or not? There are other ways, but that one is easiest for me.

thanks man,

i got it running today but its knocking and over heating like crazy. now im thinking about just getting a new block and transmission to hit two problematic areas at once. you know were i could find one?
