wont start

i've been having trouble with my 87 turbo 2 latley and at first i thought it was my fuel pump, cause i would be driving doun the road and push in on the clutch and it would shut off unless i gave it some gas. now it won't even start. it will turn over but its not like a normal turn over, it doesn't sound like there is a spark, or fuel is getting any where. i also checked my oil and found the white foam in the filler neck. there is none on the dip stick though. and it doesn't smell like oil, it kinda smells like coolant, but its hard to tell. i really need running. what should i do?

Don't worry about the white stuff. It's an emulsion of condensation and oil. Pretty normal unless it does in fact smell like coolant (which I doubt).

As far as the stalling/no-start problem goes, you'll have to start with the basics. Check the compression and if that is within spec, check for spark and fuel. Get a copy of the factory service manual at one of the links in the FAQ and work through the troubleshooting tree for the no-start problem.

Do you mean the engine seems to spin at a faster rate than normal? If so, that would suggest a lack of compression resulting from either a faulty apex seal or possibly a flooded engine.
