wont start :(

I recently had my engine rebuilt/street ported, and put ~1000km's on it. Ever since putting it in, its run lumpy and seemed to have much less power than before. I assumed this was because of the rebuild and porting, and also assumed it would improve.

I parked it after a long drive one day and it refuses to start again. It does have compression (although I dont have a tester to check exact numbers) and it WILL roll-start down a hill and run, but with a lot less power than before the rebuild.

Ive checked and set the TPS. The timing I'm not too sure about, so once its running I have adjusted the CAS until it runs smoothest...

Im not sure what else to check? can anyone give me some ideas?

Sounds like low compression. Get a tester and check this first, then go kick the rebuilder's ***!

I changed the oil at 500, 900 and 1000. each time it has been very dark black.. the spark plugs are also dark.. does this mean its running rich?

ill get a compression check too
