wont keep running

Get this, my 88 rx-7 SE will kick over and run but as soon as i let go of the key and the starter retracts after like 4 seconds it will die. I know it is a fuel problem meaning that it isnt getting fuel but i dont know how to track down the problem. someone please help me.

Check that your AFM is plugged in...

check the voltage to your fuel pump....and read this, I revived this old thread today because I was havign a similar problem.

it should prime, but you may not even see the voltage...

Try starting it and watch the multi meter...see if the voltage dives down just before it shuts off ( since if it wasn't a fuel pump voltage issue, it would be pumping 12 volts until the thing dies)
