It won't idle cold

When I first start it, it won't idle. After its warmed up, it idles. If I get it to idle cold, then when it is warmed up, it idles @ 2k. Any suggestions. see attachment for complete list of mods

mods list didn't mention the throttle body...anything special/modded/removed there?

might be mis-adjusted TPS....

but - question - it says it won't idle when its cold, and then you say - when I get it to idle cold, it idles at 2k when its hot...........what are you adjusting to get it to idle cold? TPS?

There is a set screw on the top side of the throttle body with a lock nut. It I adjust that or the throttle cable tension. Both of which I'm sure are not to be used to adjust idle.
I have had a suspesion of the tps but it adjusts fine. Throttle body is an S4.

yeah, adjusting that is basically like putitng your foot on the gas a bit...which would explain the 2k idle when warm after that is adjusted...

hmm, I still think it sounds like the TPS though, do you have another one you can try?

i bet your water-thermo sensor is bad. its on the back of the waterneck going into the engine behind the alternator. has an injector style plug end on it. replace it, its cheap anyway

Won't idle cold

Also, check the wires going to the temperature sensor. I had a similar problem and discovered that the wires leading to the temp sensor were broken. I spliced in some new wire and my car would start on the first try and idle fine.
