Wondering about possible complications...

Ok, so my Turbo NA project is almost complete.

I've removed the entire rats nest and my Turbo UIM has the BAC blocked on it. I tied the plugs to the rats nest back. I have an AFC and 550cc injectors all around.

Plan to drop the AFC to -10 to get the car started.

I'm most worried about getting the car started, especially without the BAC on there. I've done alot of searching and reading, so I expect a cold start to be difficult.

On the LIM, if I don't block off the ACV and the other passages on it, will I have any vac leaks?

My front cover gasket was blown and tossing oil like mad. I took it off, cleaned it up, and put some gasket maker (Permatex Black) on it. I put it on the oil pan as well. I tightened everything to just a bit more than hand tight. Should I expect any more leaks?

I removed the OMP and blocked it off. Pulled the lines and injectors and replaced them with bolts. Hopefully no vac leaks there.

So what problems should I expect when going to restart the car? Does the ECU bother to check those 4 plugs that were on the rats nest?

well.....torque specs are there for a reason....

if its ready to run just run it and see what happens...its all part of the shake down process...run it - check for leaks...idle...all that good stuff.

There is really no way to tell what you'll end up with until you get it running, its all speculation otherwise - I could tell you yeah, you might have a couple vac leaks, idle trouble and other stuff - but theres no telling until it runs....

best of luck - lets see some numbers once you get it dialed in!

Well I rarely EVER use gasket makers/sealants. This is the first time I used gasket maker on parts (especially major parts) with no gasket at all. There's no visbile space between the front cover and front iron. I'm just affraid that all the gasket stuff got squeezed out and won't seal correctly. Taking off the front cover was no simple task. Though it should be simpler now that I got rid of the AC.
