wiring up SAFC, ran into a weird problem.
i am wiring my SAFC harness to my engine wiring harness and i noticed something a little weird.. the pressure sensor wire and the AFM wire have been spliced together... i'll attach a picture to explain it better.
how am i supposed to hook this up with these wires running together as one?

So your car currently runs fine with the afm and pressure signal spliced together?
Try pulling codes off the ecu, it should give you a better idea of whats going on. I'm going to guess theres a reason someone made that hack in the first place (can't imagine what it is though...).

it looks to me like you can remove the splice and just re-route the AFM wires and pressure sensor wires back to their original place. Thats a weird looking splice though.

Return all the wiring to normal but don't wire in the S-AFC just yet. Test drive the car to see if any problems pop up. This may have been a dodgy band-aid to mask another problem.
If it checks out OK, continue your install.

i undid the work and redid it as it should be stock. i checked continuity to make sure it was going to be ok. it ended up being the o2 sensor and pressure being grounded. also, the pressure sensor wire pin on the ecu plug did not have continuity with the pressure sensor plug...

Ummm. Are you using SERIES FIVE schematics and plug pinouts. They are different than series four. Just FYI. As in pin 2B is the pressure sensor on a series four but not on a series five. That's what I refer to.
