Wiring, how could i make a series of lights come on
If i were to go about wiring some lights into the car so when the doors open up. How would i do so?
The dome light turns on because i think it is wired into a switch. The remote wire from the fuse panel can not be hooked up to a simple 1 positive and 1 negative terminal.
Has anyone else done this?
Anyone wanna shed a little light??
thanks guys
Evan

No, the power is constant, the switch provides ground to complete the circuit.
Why wouldn't you just tap into the door trigger wire at the alarm brain, CPU, drivers kick panel, or one of the switchs for the negitive and switched on/off side of the circuit.

I will be adding some interior lights....
Passenger kick panel/driver kick panel. And one in the vents so when the doors open the car will light up inside.
Just simple blue lights

Okay for only 3 or 4 LEDs they are a low enough draw that you can tap into the stock wires.
I am assuming they are 12 volt LEDs...
Anyway, the positive lead (usually red wire) of the LED will tap onto the Blue/Red at the CPU, or fusebox, or dome light, or door harnesses. You can check to make sure that it is the correct wire by removing the room fuse in the drivers kick panel fuse box. When you do the wire will not have 12Volt+ on it.
The negitive wire of the LED (usually Black wire) will tap onto the small gauge blue/white, found again at the CPU, door harnesses, door switchs, or drivers kick panel harness running to the rear. You can test this wire by that it will have ground on the wire when ever any door is open, and a minor amount of voltage on the wire when all the doors are closed.
If you do more than 5 LEDs or you do two or more incandescents, you will want to use a relay to control them and a better power lead, but just with the three you should be fine.
