Wiring Harness ?... SOS.

calling al hailers , calling all hailers. Alert alert. Im almost done installing the new 90 GTU wiring harness in my 89 GXL. I seem to have or dont have extra connectors. My first beef is the FCO1 CPU next to the fuse box. Underneath is a connector spot. Nothing fits. Thiers also an extra Green connector coming from back of the car. It has the white red stripe and white blue stripe wires as well as others. Thiers seems to be no spot for this on the new connector. WTF. I have not finished yet so im not even sure if this will start the car....Please help. Work tomorow.

That was kind of vague. Coming from back of the car , thiers three green male connectors I think. The one with the white red stripe and white blue stipe among others have no spot in the new harness. Also under the FC01 is a female connector that the new harness does not have. If im not mistaken. I do know that the GTU did not have PW and Sports suspension. No rear wiper as well. Mabey a couple of other things. Man GTU sucks. Please help

Sorry. I'm useless as the **** on a bore hog today. I have no 90 manual downloaded or 89. Some reason I have had no success with the fc3s.org site. Comes up a cropper each time I try to download at home. I think I have part of it at work. Sounds like they changed CPU.S b/t the years. I'll try once again downloading the manual, but don't have much hope. Is the extra green connector located at the rear of the car?? Or fwd? I THINK, but don't know for sure, but the car should start without the CPU connected . I proved that to myself one day by disconnecting mine and starting it up. Hopefully IceMARK or some one else with a manual can help. Sorry 'bout that.

The 90-91 harnesses are different from the 88-89...

I'll look up the wires you mention later today or Monday and post what you will need to change, or where the wires are going

WTF... U mean I have to change everything back to normal???

Hailers. The connector is forward next to the ECU...

Another ?... I have some SSPS box with no connector for it... Is this the Speed Sensing Power Steering. I dont need it right. And as for different Yrs. Everything hooked up fine except for that Green connector. Unhooked it goes from next to the FCO1 box to the rear of the car. Mabey its just window washers or sport suspension thats not included in the new harnes. What is SSPS ..

THNX EVERYONE

No, it depends on the car...

Auto VS Manual

but other than that, the 86-87 NA was the same.

88-89 'vert the same.

all other years and models do not match up, and have minor (sometimes Major) differences... Can be as simple as the 87 factory alarm harness has three wires in different places to a 88 alarm...

Or as different as the entire plug layout in an ECU.

Series has nothing to do with the harnesses.

For example: FC18-67-010C is for 89 models M/T W/ABS S/n up to 707092

But FC04-67-010G is for Mazda RX-7 1990 M/T, Auto Adjust Susp(AAS), s/n 804224 and greater

and FC33-67-010C is for 1988-1989 (W/O ABS) s/n up to 707092

EUREKA. Started my car. Just the night before I had to go too work. Swaping the harness took me 20 hours of hard labor.

Icemark. I noticed lots of **** wrong. Like No PW anything. This is from a GTU and mine is a GXL. All I wanted to know is if it will start....Do u have any more info like will the alarm start acting up exc. All the connectors were exactly the same with the exception of one missing green plug. I think it belongs to the blinkers but the funny thing is that the emergency blinkers still work. How can I troubleshoot my blinks?? Thnx for the reply. Oh. I forgot to plug in the power cord from the bat to the fuse box.

Oh.. Icemark. What does SSPS stand for. Seems as though the new harness does not carry the connector for it. The SSPS box went right under the cluster in that area with all the other wires. Next to the Cruise control box.
