There is very little difference between the two cars when it comes to internal harnesses (I imagine). What you will have to do is pull the dash for a complete harness swap and not just a hack job. You'll then have to follow the wires back to their respective connections along the dash and pull the plugs. To be on the safe side you may wish to consult both FSM's for your answer, as they will give you a more detailed outline of what to rewire, or if it's a direct replacement on the Dash Harness.

what are you asking?

Are you asking to change the main dash harness? If so, that would pretty much require replacement of 90% of the harnesses in the car.

Removal of the dash board would be the first part to that. Do you have the ability to replace all the broken plastic from when you remove that dash board on a 20 year old car?

Are you asking if you can put in a 89+ radio plug onto the 88 dash harness? Then yes you can, however if you are still using the stock radio, you will need to use the 89+ radio as the 88 and 89 up use different radio plugs (and different dash plugs and different engine plugs, etc).
