Exclamation Wiring Gurus HELP!!

here is the situation;

when i connect the positive terminal to the battery, my main relay clicks on and my voltage gauge shoot up to 12V right away. i always have aconstant 12V when the key iss off.

all other things are working, lights, etc.

whats goin on with this? ive been goin nuts trying to find out what the hell is happening.

i also have a haltech installed if it helps. any advice??

I am gonna guess that you have the Haltech wired in so that it Gets 12 volts at all times(instaed of it being switched 12volts)..so that Means when you Hook the Battery Up,Presto..it sucks 12 volts to power the haltech,and the guage shows that...If not,it sounds like it is backfeeding.

There is a HALTECH forum on this site. I just looked and it seems to be an active site with posts made this day and yesterday. So you might try your question there to people who have installed HALTECHs and have that PECULIAR knowledge....humor.
