got a problem and i'm not sure what it's related to

ok so i started up my car today and warmed it up and noticed that when it suppose to go up to 3k it only went up to 2500 and when it was suppose to go down to 1500 it went down to 1050-1100. and once it was warmed up i knew it wanted to go down to 500 and die but i jus kept on feathering the gas so it wouldnt...and it'd stay up at 650 for a sec then it'd want to go down. so i shut it off...a few minutes later i started it again and headed home and i knew that it was gonna do the same so i drove and kept the rpms at 1k when i was at a stop. when i got about 1000 ft from the house i put the clutch in and see if it would die and it did. BUT when i started it again. seemed like everything was normal. it idle held at 750 no problem. it was weird. does anyone know whats up with the 7??

ohh ya...i have a '88 GX(from canada)..and was unflooded a week ago

I would check the spark plugs. It could be crappy spark plugs. Only use NGK.

I think he is suggesting that you take the plugs out and see if they're fouled. If the plugs are wet or if the center electrode ceramic insulator (red area in attached graphic) is black, replace them.
