Wiring of aftermarket radio

I added a CD player, amp and sub. Those components work fine, although the speakers are not turning on? As wiring I noticed the white wire looked like it was used at some previous point. I understand this to be the turn on signal for the speaker amp(s). How do I wire this to get the signal?

Thanks

bypass the stock amps by running wires directly to the speakers and bypass the crappy in car wiring.

It looks to me that the fronts have new wiring. The rear are stock wiring. I have had it working before, but 3 years ago the deck was removed, just curious to why the white wire is useful, and how to control it?
