wireing harness replace = 2 extra wires?

Hello, Im about to buy a rx7 87 gxl (and im noob dont know what that means), and also a 86 (normal?) for 1750$. The 86 is a parts car, and the wirering harness was takin out of it. The wireing harness was put in the 87 becuase the injectors were putin incorrectly and caused and engine fire melting the wireing harness. The guy says his brother did the wireing job and they have 2 extra wires left and dont know why. Any ideas? Is this something I could fix in a weekend? Do you think its worth the $ / hassel?

Thanks all. The 87 is in pretty good shape just screwed up harness. (as far as I know). Again Thanks. :0)

Is there any difference between a 86 (base) vs the 87 gxl wireing harness wise?
