wireharness plug question
wireharness plug question
i need to know if i can use the colored connectors(twin scroll, switching solenoid, press reg controll solenoid, relief solenoid,EGR solenid), from an N/A model to replace the ones on my wireharness that were cut off by the previous onwer because i am installing all the emmisions "rats nest" and components back to factory spec and do not have a t2 in the local salvage yards. please help,
thank you!!!
thank you!!!
All the solenoids whether na or turbo, are the same solenoids. They are just configured differently. You configure them by pulling the small air filter off it's plastic tube and putting it on one of the other plastic nipples.
How should a given solenoid be configured? Look at the FUEL AND EMISSIONS section and it shows each solenoid and where the filter should be attached and which hose goes on which port of the solenoid. And or look at the diagram for the Turbo car, which should be pasted to the hood of the car.
Compare the Turbo SV with the Switching SV in the attached jpg for an example.
You'll find the RELIEF solenoid for a non turbo is configured differently than that for a Turbo car. Blue dot solenoid.
