Wired in relay and now no sound?

I've spent the last three days working on an aftermarket stereo for my 90 GTU. After the first day every thing was golden minus the power antenna and the sound cut in and out. The second day I installed two new planet audio 6inch in the rear towers and 4inch in the dash along with a better pioneer headunit. The sound still cut in and out but less often, I thought this to be because of the antenna not working right. So on day three I wired in a relay just to find that my antenna mast is broken. After double checking my conections and putting everthing back together I had no sound. The unit lights up and I can hear the antenna motor in the back. I replaced the unit with 4 others and had the same problems, all my fuses are fine and the actual harness seems to be in decent shape. Anyone have any clue what the issue is? Thanks in advance!

Find the 2 wires that go to each individual speaker. Scratch the wires across the 2 terminals of a 9v battery. If you hear a crackling noise, then your wiring is good. Otherwise, run new wires. Don't see why you didn't run new wires in the first place when putting in a 12kw amp...

The big amp was for a buddy setup I just brought it up to show that I have some experience with car audio. I will try the 9 volt tonight when I get off work but 1 of the 4 inch speakers is wired directly to the head unit due to damage on the harness

Couldnt you just turn on the HU and check the wires for power? Not a huge audio guy, but did my aftermarketHU install and speakers on this car no issues, not long ago.

I did get no sound at first when I didnt properly bypass the OEM amps.

Are you still running through the factory amps, or did you run all new speaker wire?

I did check the hu and I have power frpm those cables and my factory amps were removed by the previous owner in an effort to save weight, I used his wiring for 3 of the speakers and ran new for one, I have no door speakers installed, the thing is I was just getting sound before the relay

Did you use the available wiring diagram for the antenna relay found in the FAQ section? And what did you use as the grounding source for this relay?

Yes I followed that diagram and its grounded to a grounding post in the engine bay that was installed before I got the car. All paint is removed and it is a secure proper ground

Figured id update this with my fix incase any one else runs into it. Before I set off to rewire the whole stereo system I figured id give it one last look over. It turns out the smaller of the two plugs had a loose wire conection and was causingthe whole stereo to go into protect mode
