I have a 1987 turbo, i want to run 0 guage wire (fairly large) from battery to trunk area... Without spending hours looking for a place to run it...do any of you guys know of an opening where a wire that large can be run? Or will i have to pull out the drill???

but where would the speedo cable go? 0 gauge is pretty f@#%ing big. i would say try to poke a hole in the boot for the harness that goes through the firewall..

Yep! the speedo cable has a good bit of room around it to let wires through. Just look right behind the trailing coil on the firewall. You will see the dirty white cable running into about a 4 inch around black rubber grommet. The speedo cable is only about the size of your pinky finger so there is alot of rubber to work with. If you want to do it right, you'll need to remove some stuff to get at the rubber grommet. The speedo cable can be removed from the tranny by simply screwing it off. Then the cable is only about 4 feet long until it reaches the grommet. You can just unclip the cable from its little holders and pull the grommet out of the firewall. This should let you make a nice hole in it and get the wire started through. I wouldn't use 0 gauge unless you are running some serious equipment in excess of 1000 watts or a drain of more than 50 amperes. 4 gauge was enough to support over 1200 watts in my old car. And 0 gauge is a bitch to bend around things and fit under plastic panels.
