Don't know which looms you're talking about specificaly but the names used in the factory manuals aren't neccesarily what people on the boards call them.

As far as what the factory calls them.

1)The loom that goes out the passenger side fire wall from the ECU to the injectors, vacuum switches and all the emissions crap is call the "emissions harness".
2)The one that runs from the ECU across the fire wall and out the driver's side to the coils, headlights, A/C, alternator, etc is called the "front harness".
3)On 86-88 the CAS (along with the trans) is linked by a small harness oddly enough called the "engine harness". The CAS runs off the emissions harness on 89+.

Now ALOT of guys call the emissions harness the engine harness. And when I was trying to find a front harness everyone wanted to call it the "main" or "body" harness. Good luck.
