Wire Diagram color key

I'm sorry I didn't spend the prerequisit 3 hours searching for exactly what I need. I've found radio wire colors so far and thats it. Even using just google hasn't helped. And this is a simple question.

Can someone please post, or post a link to the color key (legend) for a wire diagram? Doesn't have to be RX related, but I downloaded all the factory wire diagrams and I don't know what the color abbreviations stand for, like Lw,L,WB,GB,LY,WL, etc etc. And if there's anything different from the BW and B/W.

Just trying to rewire my N/A harness to a turbo harness. Thanks!

btw, so LW would be blue with a white stripe? And L/W would be the same thing? Thanks Wankel!

BW and B/W are both black wire with a white stripe. Someone just chunked in a / for finger exercise.

All those colors sound like wires found in a plug with a reference designator X-15 on 86-87 cars. A plug that mates the front harness to the emissions harness.

You're an observant guy Hailers. Yeah I've been looking at the diagram I downloaded from this site. I'm gonna try to change out the pins and splice some wires by pouring over the factory service manuals wiring diagrams and what I dig up here.

Not the most savvy at wiring but with the right tools I can manage. I hope lol!

*edit* And I hope that the X-16 connetor is for the 88 model, cause that's the diagram I'm looking at.

Both X-15 and X-16 are for your car. Later on Mazda manuals call them FEM-01 and FEM-02. FEM standing for Front harness to EMissions harness connectors.
