Question Wiper switch

The wiper switch in my car only works in one position, it looks like the contact points inside are dirty. I think this because I spray WD-40 inside and it start to work well for a few hours and then back with the problem.

Some one knows how to open and clean them. Please post the how-to, thanks.

The same thing happend with my wiper switch, first the rear wiper control stopped and then a few months later the intermittent setting stopped and the wipers will not return to their original position. Lo MEd Hi still work, but they will probably quit in the middle of a snow storm soon. Mazdatrix has them for @ $400. I've seen posts on how to repair them as well.

I'm a soldering idiot, so I sent my switch to Joe Romeo at fc3s.org and he did a great job of fixing it. Turn around was about a week, if memory serves.

I just got it back today.
Excellent job!

it's much cheaper than buying a new core!
