Wiper speed **** keeps falling out

I bought a reman wiper switch unit to fix the typical single speed issue. When installing it, I moved the ***** over from my old unit. Ever since, the wiper speed **** falls out every so often. I assume that its slightly loose in the reman unit and vibrating out.

I figure a little bit of superglue will keep the **** in place, but still allow me to remove if necessary in the future, but before I do that I would like to know if there are any alternative suggestions. Thanks

I have a feeling you're not pushing the **** in all the way. Give it a decent push and things should go back together. If I happen to be wrong, I would use a little dab of silicone or RTV to hold it in. Superglue will only hold together for maybe one trip then fall apart.

I'm fairly sure I'm pushing it in all the way, but I'll give it another shot to be pedantic.

Mine does the same. I also have rebuilt units that work great.

there is supposed to be a half moon shaped clip to keep tension on the **** rod, i suspect yours is missing from the reman process.

pop it out of your old unit and swap it to the new one instead of half assing it like the above suggestions. if it's glued in place have fun removing it when you need to..

Curious, do the ***** just pull off or is it more involved? I need to rebuild my wiper switch.

They just pull out.
Assuming they haven't been superglued in, of course.
